BioThe magpie is a quixotic animal: talkative and flamboyant, but secretive; clownish, but bright-eyed and sharp-minded; beautiful to some, but an ugly pest to others. The magpie is social, unlucky when lonely but loyal to only a few. Flies, not far, but with style. Loves the plains, gentle hills and summer trees, but comfortable in lots of places. Makes a racket when predators are near. Eats anything. The black and the white. Which of these traits are me? Which are the ones I wish I had? Which have nothing to do with who I am or what I might say here?

Pragmatically: Some of my posts are public. Pictures and some real life are in the locked posts, so most of the costuming is in friends-locked posts. Kind people of all kinds are welcome. My main fannish activity is costuming - my obsessions evolve over time, but fantasy, science fiction and history remain my constant companions. I like to talk about myself and navel gaze - witness the interest list that grows continuously. My 'tags' will also give you a good idea what I'm getting into. I like it when people introduce themselves before friending me - just pick any public post and say hi.
