... but i eated it.

Actually. I didn't eat it. I muxed it? Boingboing.net tipped me off to this site (http://muxtape.com/) that you can upload 12 of your songs to and share them, thusly:

http://youwantmyfedora.muxtape.com/

It's a snippet of the songs that run around in my head and my iPod from 1919-1939. If this site stays up, I'll use it from time to time to share songs with you.

An interesting fact about myself: I wake up every morning with a song in my heart. Really, I do. Sometimes I have to listen quietly for a couple minutes before I recognise it. Sometimes I'm surprised that I remember enough of a song I barely heard for it to play back in such detail. I guess there's something about how quiet one's mind is in the morning.

In other news: soon I will have another pair of pants made. Son of DRAMA pants!

Ooh, I really like Statesboro Blues. But I wish there was a way to download the songs!

I think the site is walking a legal tightrope as it is - adding downloading would be asking for even more trouble. But you can find Statesboro Blues for free at archive.org since it's public domain. Just google 'Blind Willie McTell Statesboro' and you'll get the link.

" I wake up every morning with a song in my heart"

Oh me too! I thought most people did? Maybe not. Well, my songs are in my mind's ear, rather than my heart. :) But it usually ends up being the day's 'theme song'.

Do they? It makes me happy to know more people wake up singing inside :-)

"I wake up every morning with a song in my heart"---mine's usually whatevever I heard last on the radio. Nothing too exciting (unfortunately, sometimes the songs stuck in my head for days!)

And yay for more drama pants. Everyone needs drama pants.

Mine* disappear really quickly unless I pay attention first thing in the morning. I love that people wake up singing inside :-)

*Just read my comment and laughed: I mean the _songs_ disappear. Not my pants!!

Hahahahaha....I guess it depends on the kind of morning you're having if your pants disappear! Those pesky pant gnomes. If you don't pay attention they steal drama pants!

maybe you can help.. I heard this song.. long ago on 1140 Kiss FM.. we're talking 1988 - 1989... the only part of I can remember lyrics wise.. is:

Gotta Keep a Red Head Straigt

I have searched for it from time to time.. with no luck.. but I suspect it's earlier than what I'm familiar with..

LOL - I have to laugh that you're asking me, I'm like the last person to know. Outside my narrow range of youth music (Depeche Mode/new wave and Thrash), then my odd adult eccentricities (Canadian Folk, occasional obsessions with single artists like U2 and Moby, tiki/lounge, and now my focus on the 1930s/40s) I know very very little. I'm the last person you want on your 'Name that Tune' team... unless it's Martin Denny tunes or something like that :-)

You are awfully cute, hon, w your song in your heart.

Right now I've got a raincloud over my head, so a song sounds lovely.

Awww, thanks.

I'm sorry about your raincloud.... oh no - I think I just put 'Singin' in the Rain' in my head! It'll be with me for hours now. I guess there are worse songs to have in the mental background :-)
